Start from the top of the centre back, just below the collar and measure to your shoulder. Then measure from your shoulder to your wrist bone. Run the measuring tape around the widest part of your chest, just below your armpits.
Where are shirts measured?
With the shirt laid flat, back facing up, place the tape at the point on the bottom seam of the yoke where the yoke attaches to the sleeve. Measure straight across to the same point on the other side of the shirt (start and finish on the outside edge of the sames).
How do you measure shirt size 40?
If you see size 40 in a shirt’s tag/label/sticker, this means that the length of the collar is 40 cm. Similarly, size 42 means, the length of the collar is 42 cm. A size 40 shirt from one brand may have 42 inches chest length, and for another brand, it may have 44 inches chest length.
